Izzi Math Challenge
Science-Smart School of Sofia will be holding the third edition of our unconventional math competition - Izzi Math Challenge. The competition is organised in partnership with "Olimpmath" EOOD (rep. of The Union of Bulgarian Mathematicians).
Izzi Math Challenge is opened to students from 1st to 10th grade and aimed at applying mathematical knowledge by promoting analytical thinking and using a resourceful approach to problem solving. One of the challenges involved a three-dimensional math problem.
The competition will take place on February 21, 2026 from 11:00 to 12:30 at SMART Science High School (Sofia Tech Park: 111, "Tsarigradsko Shose" Blvd.). The duration of the competition for first grade is one hour (up to 12:00).

The competition is organised by Science-Smart School of Sofia in partnership with "Olimpmath" EOOD (rep. of The Union of Bulgarian Mathematicians).
Participants compete individually in one round, organised in different grade groups.
The official language to be used at the competition will be English.

The results will be published on the tournament’s official website. Contestations are not accepted.
It is our great honour to have Prof. Nikolay Nikolov, President of the Union of Bulgarian Mathematicians, preside the jury and participate in the award ceremony.
Best performers will be awarded medals and certificates and will be invited to participate in the Summer Math Week during the Izzi Summer Academy.
