Science-Smart School of Sofia Secondary School builds on the foundations laid in the primary and lower secondary stages. In addition to bilingual education, incorporating the best traditions of Bulgarian and British educational systems into our academic curricula, it is a key priority of the teaching team to develop tolerant, empathetic, well-rounded and lifelong learners.
Opinion leaders
To support these efforts, the school traditionally arranges meetings and master classes with distinguished people who serve as role models for our students. These are athletes, writers, researchers, Bulgarians and foreigners noted for their outstanding achievements in science and art.
Community support
A University Counselling Centre is being set up to support students and their parents. The main functions of the centre include:
- Arranging personal meetings and seminars for students in Grades 9 to 12 and providing professional assistance in the process of choosing universities, preparing and filling out application documents.
- Advising parents to our high school students throughout the university application process.
- Facilitating communication between our candidates and educational institutions by providing contacts, where necessary.
- Working with a school counsellor and advising high school students on life choices and core values.
