ADMISSION 2025/2026

Who can apply?

All students who will be in Grade 8 and 9 in school year 2025/2026

SMART Science will admit new students:

Four classes of 16 students each are open for admission, namely:

2 classes for students whose English is at CEFR B2.2
2 classes for students whose English is at CEFR A1 level. Candidates who have studied German in primary and lower secondary schools will be at an advantage.

Аdmission requirements

Excellent level of Bulgarian language literacy and strong skills in Mathematics for the respective age group.
Keen interest in Science and Social Studies.
Good behaviour and active participation in class.
Teamworking skills.

Admission procedure

Admission Exam on January 25 or February 1, 2025:

Step 1: Admission Contest

January 25 (Saturday), 10:30 AM
Feburary 1 (Saturday), 10:30 AM

Candidates take an exam divided into three modules: mathematics, Bulgarian and English. The exam is within 3 hours, with breaks between modules.

Step 2: Open Door Events for parents

Feburary 4 (Tuesday), 4:30 PM

Only parents of the approved candidates are invited to attend Open Door event to get acquainted with the school facilities and academic programs we follow – the ones established by the Bulgarian Ministry and Education and by Cambridge Assessment International Education. The events will be hosted by teachers, school management, and our 7-Graders who have chosen to continue their education at SMART Science.

Admission competition participation fee: 60 BGN. After submitting the application form, we will send you a registration confirmation and instructions for the participation fee payment.

Tuition fee:

1300 BGN/ month (September/June)

SMART Science offers scholarships to the most successful candidates (50% or 100% reduction of the tuition fee) for the five-year period of education.
