Math Tournament "Ivan Salabashev"
On November 30, 2024 Science-Smart School of Sofia held the traditional math tournament "30 problems in 30 languages" right after math tournament "Ivan Salabashev". The competition was open to students from 6th to 9th grade. External students are also welcomed.

Meet Two Of The Authors of Math Tournament "Ivan Salabashev"
Emil Kolev
Math TeacherProf. Emil Kolev is a doctor of mathematical sciences, professor at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of the Bulgarian Acadecmy of Science. With our high school students, he leads a course in competitive mathematics, in which analytical thinking and a creative approach are key methods of work.
Nevena Sabeva
Math TeacherNevena is author of textbooks, collections and aids for junior high school students, and participates in the editorial board of the "Mathematics" magazine. She helps children become keen on maths challenges and find the most rational solutions.
The competition is host by Science-Smart School of Sofia in partnership with the organisator.
Participants compete individualy in one round, organised in different grade groups.
The official language to be used at the competition will be Bulgarian.

- Duration: Grade 1.: 60 minutes; Grade 2. - 9.: 120 minutes

- Questions 1–10: Multiple-choice
- Questions 11–15: Open-ended responses
